He is best known as the founder of the Homegrown Music Festival, which began in 1998 as a small birthday party and has since grown into an eight-day celebration featuring over 170 bands across multiple venues.

Tonic: The Funky Groove Show is produced and hosted by Michael Bendure ("Michael B"), a longtime funk fan who retired from a professional communications career in 2021 to concentrate on his music and artistic outlets. Christine is The North 103.3's Music Director, a host of Music Through the Day, and the producer of Live from Studio A. One of her favorite things about her job is the opportunity to share music from the Twin Ports’ many talented local artists. In her spare time she takes full of advantage of Duluth’s outdoors opportunities.

Morgan Kohler came to Duluth in 2015 to study at UMD where she earned her B.A. in Communication. She volunteered and worked at The North 103.3 FM from 2015 to 2019 on the student marketing team and hosted shows on The Basement, Music Through The Day, and The Women’s Music Program. She returned in August 2024 as a staff member.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.

Jorma Kaukonen is a legendary guitarist, songwriter, and educator, best known for his work with Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna. He is the founder of Fur Peace Ranch, a renowned guitar camp and concert venue in Pomeroy, Ohio, where he has hosted workshops and performances since 1989.

Kathy Mattea is a Grammy-winning singer and songwriter who has been the host of Mountain Stage, the long-running live performance radio show produced by West Virginia Public Broadcasting, since September 2021.

Laura Erickson is a renowned ornithologist, writer, and educator based in Duluth, Minnesota. She is the creator of "For the Birds," the longest-running radio program about birds in the United States, airing since 1986. Through her work, she has inspired countless bird enthusiasts with her deep knowledge and passion for avian life.
