Sometimes you just can't win.
As public health officials watched the COVID-19 pandemic play out on the east and west coasts, they encouraged us here in the Midwest to social distance and wear masks.
Now, when we're not swamped with a wave of sick people and our hospitals are not overrun, some people can't resist an indignant, "See? We told you there was nothing to worry about!"
"We knew this was going to happen!" laughs Dr. Catherine McCarty of the UMN School of Medicine, Duluth campus. "It's not a big deal because we did a good job!"
Wear your mask, wash your hands, social distance. Dr. Catherine McCarty brings us up to speed on hydroxychloroquine tests, the search for a vaccine, and the pandemic of racism.
