KUMD is Here for You

Black and white logo that says KUMD

At this challenging time, live, local radio is more important than ever, and KUMD remains dedicated to sharing music, company, and information with our region at 103.3fm and online here at kumd.org. Tune in for community voices you trust, and for music that provides a welcome respite when you need it.

We have suspended all unnecessary face-to-face contact; staff are working from home as much as possible, and we are closing our office to the public. The best way to reach us is via e-mail, although our live announcers will do their best to answer any calls that come into the station and pass on messages as needed.

As a public radio entity, it's our credo to continue our on-air operations and we are proud to serve the Northland at this time. In recent days we've aired relevant stories pertaining to the effects of Covid-19 in our community such as our interviews with Duluth Superintendant of schools Bill Gronseth, Amy Westbrook of the St. Louis County Public Health Division, and Melissa LaTour of Duluth's Homegrown Music Festival. Find those interviews and more on our coronavirus information page.

We are also looking forward to hearing your stories; we're starting a new program called Neighbors that will air Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am. The program will give community members an opportunity to call in and share their experiences, advice, and resources.

We also know that music is a great way to distract yourself from the news when you're looking for a break. We will continue to air the music programs you know and love.

KUMD is proud to be a resource for community and connection at this time. Thanks for listening!
