Phoenix is a one year old male Am Staff. Phoenix and another pup were confiscated and brought to the shelter. He is a young dog with a lot of energy and has liked everyone he has met. He has been vet checked and neutered and given his rabies and canine vaccinations.

Lacey is a beautiful 10 year old tabby cat. This lovely lady is friendly and playful and she loves to chase feathers on strings! However, when she is all done she calmly curls up in your lap for petting and love. Lacey is very smart and knows that she should scratch on her post and not the furniture. Although Lacey loves adults her previous family felt that she would do best in a home without children, cats, or dogs.

Marzipan is a calico domestic short hair who is 2 years old. She came to us as a transfer from a different shelter and is now looking for her new loving home! Although Marzipan is shy upon first meeting you, once she's comfortable she is sweet, affectionate, and so very playful! She loves laser pointers, feather wands, and toy mice. Once she's worn herself out from playing, Marzipan's favorite thing to do is lay in your lap and fall asleep. Do you think you could be Marzipan's new best friend? She has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Lisa Johnson started her broadcast career anchoring the television news at her high school and spinning country music at KWWK/KOLM Radio in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a reporter and news anchor at KTHI in Fargo, ND (not to mention the host of a children's program called "Lisa's Lane") and a radio reporter and anchor in Moorhead, Bismarck, Wahpeton and Fergus Falls.Since 1991, she has hosted Northland Morning on KUMD. One of the best parts of her job includes "paying it forward" by mentoring upcoming journalists and broadcasters on the student news team that helps produce Northland Morning. She also loves introducing the different people she meets in her job to one another, helping to forge new "community connections" and partnerships.Lisa has amassed a book collection weighing over two tons, and she enjoys reading, photography, volunteering with Animal Allies Humane Society and fantasizing about farmland. She goes to bed at 8pm, long before her daughter, two cats, or three dogs.
