5/14 Forever Home

Kids, camps and critters: that's what summer is all about at Animal Allies Summer Camps.  Pat Castellano is Animal Allies' Humane Educator, and she says they've added a couple of new camps this year.

Also, meet just four of the animals looking for their Forever Homes this week!

Stu:
Stu is a handsome orange medium hair tabby cat. He came to Animal Allies when his previous folks could not take him when they moved. He is front paw declawed and likes jingly ball toys the best. Stu is known to be a cuddler and he will come if you call him! Stu has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
Buddy:
Buddy is a sweet senior dog who needs a quiet retirement home. This old fellow wants nothing more than a couch to curl up on and someone to love. Could it be you? If you've got room in your heart for a loving dog who deserves a loving home, Buddy is your guy. Buddy has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
Rusty:
Rusty is a male 7 yr old mixed breed. Rusty and another dog were brought in when their owners moved. Rusty is about the cutest, kindest, loveable guy ever. He would make a great addition to any family. He just wants to get back into a home. He has been neutered, vet checked and given his rabies and canine vaccinations.
P. Kitty:
Meet P. Kitty! P. Kitty is from a different rescue. This shy guy is looking for a quiet home to curl up in so he can get used to the new surroundings. He likes being petted but isn't too sure about being picked up yet. He's hoping to find a patient person that will teach him all about being a pampered house cat! P. Kitty has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

Lisa Johnson started her broadcast career anchoring the television news at her high school and spinning country music at KWWK/KOLM Radio in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a reporter and news anchor at KTHI in Fargo, ND (not to mention the host of a children's program called "Lisa's Lane") and a radio reporter and anchor in Moorhead, Bismarck, Wahpeton and Fergus Falls.Since 1991, she has hosted Northland Morning on KUMD. One of the best parts of her job includes "paying it forward" by mentoring upcoming journalists and broadcasters on the student news team that helps produce Northland Morning. She also loves introducing the different people she meets in her job to one another, helping to forge new "community connections" and partnerships.Lisa has amassed a book collection weighing over two tons, and she enjoys reading, photography, volunteering with Animal Allies Humane Society and fantasizing about farmland. She goes to bed at 8pm, long before her daughter, two cats, or three dogs.
