A picture's worth a thousand words when it comes to storytelling

When guests from the MPCA or the MN DNR or the St. Louis River Alliance do an interview on Northland Morning, they'll get a request to provide a photograph to help illustrate the story on KUMD's web site.

And face it, if the story is about the new National Water Trail or how much cleaner the river is these days, you want to see it.

But where do those photographs come from?

Kris Eilers, executive director of the SLRA says they've got an ingenious way of aquiring them.

More informationabout the photography contest is available here.
