Migrants continue to wow visitors at Hawk Ridge with some daily counts reaching the tens of thousands. And for those visiting in the coming weeks, the birds will be complemented by the bursts of color in the trees. Expect red leaves to start commanding the landscape, but don't expect yellows for a few more weeks.
This weekend also marks the Harvest Moon - the full moon closest to the Autumn Equinox. Day or night, these final days of September offer a lot of reasons to venture outside and make the most of autumn.
