"Nature is good for us at every age," says Georgia Lane, Director of Aging Initiatives with Ecolibrium3 in Duluth. "We don't want to think just about some of the health problems that we have or the things we can't do, but we know that nature is good for everybody."
On September 25th, the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging will host the Nature As We Age gathering at Lake Superior College from 9am-3:30pm. The event will include presentations, information, and keynote speaker (and host for Backyard Almanac on The North 103.3 FM) Larry Weber. "We're super excited to have Larry as our keynote speaker," says Lane. "He is just a wealth of information."
The event will also include panels, Master Naturalists, stories, and opportunities to get involved with nature in the community. Additionally, Ecolibrium3 will be giving tours of their urban farm on the LSC campus.
