Backyard Almanac: May Be Cold

It's not just you. May has been on the chilly side. According to Larry Weber's findings, May is averaging 6 degrees cooler than normal so far this year. Maybe keep those jackets out just a bit longer.

Among all of the budding trees and migrating birds, there are also some reptiles making the most of the season. Painted turtles are lining up to bask on logs, snapping turtles are moseying about, and don't be surprised if you see a Garder snake along the trails.
