Ecolibrium3 focuses on environmental initiatives, health and wellness, and economic stability. In April, those goals were put at risk. "Literally on a Friday night when we were celebrating our Americorps programs with community members - about 200 people - we actually received emails that both of our programs were terminated immediately," says Jodi Slick, CEO of Ecolibrium3.
Though the Federal order that incited the stoppage has now been reversed, the announcement temporarily eliminated Eco3's Americorps program and Energy Training Corps program. The programs help to serve the community in energy improvements, disaster resilience in homes, and more.
Now, Eco3 finds themselves rebuilding their organization and team. "Having the program terminated right before we were going to be recruiting for our summer corps was hard," says Slick. "Individuals that are interested in learning some of those trade skills, learning more about energy... we have positions available."
More information about Ecolibrium3 and opportunities with their Americorps and Energy Training Corps can be found on the Eco3 website.
