Backyard Almanac: Warbler Watching and Tremendous Trees

We're entering into the rainy season, so spring will keep blooming and greening.

Wildflowers are in abundance, as are migrants. One migrant in particular can be spotted with just a little patience: Warblers. Though their name suggests a penchant for irrepressible singing, they're not as musical as other songbirds. With over 2 dozen species of Warblers, the little birds are one to look out for this time of year.

However, according to Larry Weber, it's the trees that are stealing the show right now. Buds are blooming and some trees will insight an annual summer "snowstorm" as the white fluff they shed takes to the wind.

You can hear Backyard Almanac every Friday at 8:20am on Northland Morning.
