Backyard Almanac: Rainy May

What a difference a year makes. Last May, the Northland was beginning a months-long stretch of very little rain. This year, May is already above average for rainfall, and there's still a week to go.

The hearty amount of precipitation has the area bursting with color. Animals add to the activity as they are busy moving about. For Larry Weber, warblers are still a highlight. On a foggy day, Larry recommends heading to Park Point for the opportunity to spot up to twenty different warblers.

You can hear Backyard Almanac every Friday at 8:20am on Northland Morning.
