Backyard Almanac: Prime Time for Animal Tracks

For many, the fresh snowfall was a joyous sight. For some of the critters in the Northland, it was a lifesaver, too. Snowshoe hares finally have an environment that matches their changing look, but rabbits are far from the only creatures making tracks in the forest. Larry Weber had his eyes to the ground this week, closely observing signs of many animals, no matter how small.
