"It's an interesting December that we're getting so far," says Larry Weber. December continues its hot streak. Temps have been roughly ten degrees above normal this month. The short days and 4:20pm sunsets have kept things dark, just not cold.

Various Christmas Bird Counts are also coming up. Several communities across the continent (and many in the Northland) venture out on a given day near Christmas to spot birds, identify species, and report the sightings.

You can hear Backyard Almanac every Friday at 8:20am on Northland Morning.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
