Second time's the charm - Ryan Redington's "magical" run and 1st Beargrease win

Last year, Ryan Redington reckoned with the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon's hilly, difficult course for the first time.

This year, he roared back with the same run fast and build up a big lead strategy, but his doubled-down training with the dogs made all the difference.

Finishing with nine strong dogs of his original 14, Redington crossed the finish line at Billy's at 5:00am for his first Beargrease win.

Lisa Johnson started her broadcast career anchoring the television news at her high school and spinning country music at KWWK/KOLM Radio in Rochester, Minnesota.
