Backyard Almanac: No Perseids, but Beauty Still Abounds

Even though the fog and cloud cover over the past few days have blocked our ability to see the Perseid meteor showers, the fog has highlighted spider webs beautifully. 

With shorter days, some birds have begun their migration, and some leaves are starting to show color.  It has been a great season for berries, and mushrooms are plentiful as well.
