Jade MarieLan is proud to produce a brand new exhibition with the Douglas County Historical Society (1101 John Ave, Superior, WI) sponsored by Superior's Public Art Commission. This showcase will feature artwork by Carla Hamilton (Minnesota Artist) as well as work from regional creatives including Linda LeGarde Grover, Naomi Yeager, and Jayson Iwen. The exhibition, with over 30 Minnesotan and Wisconsin artist contributions, runs through the month of May.

In an interview with Wisconsin Public Radio, MarieLan shared, “Most artists, I believe, are multi-genre artists. They usually have many different talents. So, I wanted a place for artists to be able to display all of their talents at one showcase.”

The exhibition opens Sunday, May 3. Please join us for the opening reception from 2:00-6:00pm at the Douglas County Historical Society. There will be over 30 authors, artists, and vendors including a kids' craft table. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Opening speech by writer Jade MarieLan will be followed by an open mic at 3:00pm. Live piano music by Jazmin Wong will be provided from 5:00-6:00. We hope to see you there to celebrate local art and writing.
