Organizing a bookstore is kind of like a puzzle, and it can sometimes also involves finding hidden treasures. Tina Higgins-Wussow operates Chester Creek Books in Duluth, and amongst the 100,000 or so books is plenty of vision and ambition for the future. Along with managing the bookstore, Tina is also finding time to work on a novel. With a little help from the practice of "body doubling" she's making progress.
Tina's first album purchase brings back memories of her crush on Ralph Macchio and a trip to the movie theater for a screening of The Karate Kid Part II. Her first live concert led to a photo with one of the musicians - and that photo eventually resulted in Tina being caught in a lie. And her guilty pleasure song stems from the current center of pop stardom, and it provides a break from an otherwise serious life. "[It's] the one thing that I do that isn't serious at all."
