For fifty years, Tamalyn Dallal has been tied to the art of dance. Her passion has led her around the world for performances at high-profile locations and with exemplary musicians - including a centralized performance during the Super Bowl halftime show in 1995.
On September 18th-20th, the New Orleans-based dancer will be in Duluth for Raqs & Reset, a dance and wellness immersion. More information and registration is available online. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the 988 Crisis Hotline.
Tamalyn's personal music history is a little fuzzy. As a teenager, she was a collector of albums, so pinning down the first was a task. For a first live concert, Tamalyn was equally unsure. As a young music journalist for her school newspaper, she went to many live shows. But for her guilty pleasure song, there wasn't any hesitation. "I like it whenever I hear it... I love the cello version."
