For Tyler Scouton, the Homegrown Music Festival is an opportunity for explorative and inventive performance art. This Friday night he'll be performing with Polari (his solo experimental electronic music project) and on Saturday night, he'll be making another appearance on stage with the legendary Homegrown act Bratwurst - dress like you've got front row tickets to a Gallagher show.
The title of Tyler's first album purchase might have planted a seed for the food-based elements incorporated into his shows. His first live concert experience involved a visit to the State Fair. And his guilty pleasure song comes from an avant-garde band who took a pop turn. "When I leave here, I'll probably be listening to it in my car."
You can hear Back Tracks every Friday at 8am on Northland Morning. Homegrown Music Festival coverage on the North is supported by Music Go Round Duluth and is made possible with funding from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
