Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Ross Thorn

A man plays guitar and sings into a microphone on the stage of an old church. Behind him to the left is a man playing pedal steel. To the right is a drum kit.

Ross Thorn has become a fixture of the local music scene. His latest album, Fitting In, was released early last month. You can catch Ross on Saturday, September 20th at 7pm as part of a residency at Ursa Minor. Ross will be taking requests from the audience - just no Sound Garden, please.

For a first album purchase, Ross selected a CD full of catchy 90s tunes with a femme pop icon on the cover. One of his first live concerts that he attended yielded an autographed bottle of Tylenol. And for a guilty pleasure song, Ross angled toward a spooky theme song from his youth. "[That] theme absolutely slaps."
