Where's Art: Spring Art Explosion

Like Spring itself, the art scene in the Northland is currently exploding. Art Exhibits and events are popping up everywhere.

At AICHO, actor and artist Michael Horse presents "Our History from Our Perspective", a collection of visual art that makes use of old leger work. Horse utilizes documents from a history of exploitation as canvases to paint colorful and impactful Native American scenes.

Two exhibits are currently on display at Zeitgeist. In the atrium is the Gender Joy Art Show presented by the YWCA, and the cafe space is filled with a lifetime of work from local artist Oddio Nib whose paintings include whimsical caricatures, portraits, and cartoons as well as impressionistic and abstract images.

Additionally, the explosion of art can be seen at the Rathskeller and at Hartley Nature Center. Both locations are also featuring work from local artists and art regarding topical subjects.

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
