In keeping with the season, the visual arts are taking on a bacchanalian focus this month.
The Nordic Center and Prove Gallery are collaborating to bring the "April Showers, May Flowers" exhibit to their downtown Duluth spaces beginning on April 11th. That evening, from 6-9pm, the two joined spaces will host an opening reception to celebrate the beauty of Spring. For this exhibit, many notable artists through the Northland have leaned into their own talents and mediums to express their impressions of the season.
Through April 18th, the Duluth Art Institute hosts work from emerging photographers from the University of Wisconsin Superior. In the "Seasons of Change" exhibit, students focused on capturing the cyclical nature of our world through a camera's view.
In the Depot Balcony Gallery from April 12th-27th is an exhibit that shines a light on queer history. The opening of the event takes place on Saturday, April 12th from 2-3:30pm with an afternoon of storytelling.
You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
