Right now, there are many opportunities in the area for artists to submit work.
The Gender Joy Art Show is accepting 2-D submissions from girls, women, and gender expansive artists. Amy Varsek will be curating this exhibit which will open on May 9th at Zeitgeist. More information can be found on the YWCA website.
The Duluth Art Institute is preparing for their Annual Member Show as well at the 65th Arrowhead Regional Biennial. Information about submission is available on the DAI website.
From April 4th through the 6th of May, artists of all ages are encouraged to stop by any branch of the Duluth Public Library to pick up a 4-inch by 4-inch canvas for the Tiny Art Show event happening in May. Artists can design their canvas and then drop them off at the branch where they'd like to see their art displayed.
And applications are currently being accepted for Art in Bayfront Park as are applications for Lake Superior College's Percent for Art in Public Places.
You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
