The newly posted position of 'Treasure Keeper' has all the shapes excited. Each has unique qualifications and reasons for thinking they'd be the best fit.
Except for Line.
"Most of the shapes feel quite confident that they are perfectly perfect... Line is literally imperfect. He is chipped and broken," says Line Leads the Way author Laura Purdie Salas. Along with a plot centering around Line's challenges, the story also highlights a variety of shapes that are brought to life with unique dispositions. "It was really fun to think about wordplay and how the shapes would influence their personality."
With themes about being yourself and supporting others, Purdie Salas also wants readers to find the value in one community resource in particular. "Libraries are lifesavers and we need to take care of them."
Line Leads the Way can be purchased at various bookstores, including at Zenith Bookstore in Duluth and online through Capstone Publishing.
