After several other stops around the state of Minnesota, a large collection of art has arrived in Duluth. Now through December, the Tweed Museum of Art on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus is hosting Dreaming Our Futures: Ojibwe and Očhéthi Šakówiņ Artists and Knowledge Keepers.
"It takes up every inch, practically, of the Tweed space, which is really exciting to see that space dedicated to this massive exhibition," says Annie Dugan. Included in the exhibit are works from heralded artists including Rabbit Before Horses Strickland, Jonathan Thunder, Joe Geschick, Leah Yellowbird, and many others. The exhibit runs through December 28th, 2024. More information about the exhibit and Tweed's hours of operation, visit the Tweed Museum of Art online.
Additionally, the Visual Cultural Lecture series begins on Tuesday, September 17th at UMD. Three-time Emmy Award winning producer Dawn Mikkelson begins this season's series at 6pm in Montague 80. More information about the series can be found on the UMD website.
You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
