Art isn't always paint on a canvas. Sometimes it springs up from the dirt.

"I do feel like the art of gardening and the visual creation that gardeners put forth outside are really very much a visual art form," says Annie Dugan. The Duluth Community Garden Program Plant and Seed Sale will take place at Peace Church in Duluth this Saturday. Various other sales are also happening on the same day

Also deviating from the strict visual arts, there are two author events happening this week at Zenith Bookstore. Travis and Sam Zimmerman will talk about their new book How the Birds Got Their Songs on Tuesday evening at 7pm. This Saturday at 10:30am, readers can also visit with Staci Lola Druillard who will be present to talk about her newest book A Family Tree.

Additionally, the Prøve Collective has a new exhibition called "POV" which highlights youth photography.

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
