The calendar has turned and it's time to think about art in the Northland over the coming year.
The Duluth Art Institute starts out the year with Steffl in Steffl, works by John Steffl, appropriately exhibited at the Steffl Gallery. "We owe a lot of what we have today to the work that he did during his lifetime," says Annie Dugan.
Jumping forward to the fall, Native Painting Exhibition, will debut at the Tweed Museum of Art. Contemporary works by various artist will be on display, including those by Dyani White Hawk. "White Hawk is doing things in painting that folks around the world are looking toward," says Dugan.
You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
