For author Tove Conway, growing up on the Iowa prairie first opened her eyes to the natural world. Now living in Ely, Minnesota, nature is just beyond her front door. "It feels like I can look outside and see my story come to life."

Northern Sights, the new picture book by Conway (and illustrated by Kari Vick), follows Kai through an explorative, peaceable adventure in the deep woods. The book is a lyrical invitation to understand perspective as Kai sees various animals and the way each critter approaches the land, water, and sky. The book also operates as a bit of a search and find. A dragonfly is hidden in plain sight on each page.

Northern Sights can be found at various booksellers and local stores through the Northland including Siiviis Gallery and North & Shore in Duluth.
