Clouded Waters by Dianna Hunter is a mystery that takes place in the fictional town of Iron, Minnesota. "Part of the plot revolves around the proposal to start a copper-nickel mine," says Hunter. From this ignition point, the motivation of characters become clear and open to the reader as well as to the other characters therein. "It really was, as it turned out, character driven."

Hunter is no stranger to writing. The author has been finalists for the Minnesota Book Award in the past, though Clouded Waters is her first novel. "It was quite amazing to me how the dialogue and the characters drove the plot," says Hunter. "That's what helped me work out what actually happed throughout the story."

The book will be available at many booksellers including Zenith Bookstore and The Bookstore at Fitgers. Clouded Waters will be released on October 10th and can be preordered online at the author's website or the Holy Cow Press website.
