Theater Artist Robert Lee: "A Series of Unfortunate Specials"

A Series of Unfortunate Specials is halfway through its first season. The specials are theatrical presentations with a similar structure. "We have a little improvisation, we write sketches that we rehearse, we film short comedy films, and we always bring in a special guest," says Robert Lee, organizer of the series.

The next installment Falling Forward and Cracking Up is happening October 8th and 15th at 8pm at Zeitgeist in Duluth. This installment will play on tropes of teen movies. "We're billing it as a spoof on a teen movie/back-to-school special," says Lee. "We kind of play with the form of teens in a horror movie as well." There may be a few scares to satiate the hunger for the Halloween season, but it's not for the trick-or-treaters; the comedy is geared toward a mature audience. "There are going to be some swears."

For more information and tickets to A Series of Unfortunate Specials: Falling Forward and Cracking Up visit the Zeitgeist website.
