Bea Ojakangas' mother always said you could never go wrong ordering soup.
When her husband, retired UMD Geology professor Dr. Richard Ojakangas, was still teaching, he loved to welcome new students in the fall with a big meal at his home, and naturally, students were invited to contribute ingredients for stone soup (Richard always provided the stone).
This morning, as we prepare for this afternoon's winter storm warning and incipient snowfall, what better conversation to have than about Bea's new book of soup and bread pairings.
