Also opening this week, in light of this being an election year, a selection of work from internationally known political artists Sue Coe and Warrington Colescott,
St. Paul based photographer Vance Gellert is a storyteller, delving in and learning about communities with his camera in hand. His recent project shares the face of a community and the rich mining history and the people in Northern Minnesota. His work is honest and beautiful. Having heard of the Iron Range and not knowing too much about it, he spent enough time with folks to capture the heart of the range in some truly stunning photographs.
The exhibit of Vance Gellert’s photograph exhibit is called Iron Country: Photographs of People and Landscapes of the Iron Range, up June 9 – September 4, 2016.
