Winter woods and afternoon sunsets are a few of the Alaskan scenes in a new set of paintings from Bob Pokorney. His show opens this week at Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar with a reception on Wednesday, Dec. 17th from 4-6pm.

Pokorney's paintings beautifully capture the stunning light and mystique of the "Land of the midnight sun." His brushwork is impressionistic, fluid and relaxed, defying the many hours likely invested in each work. Listen as he shares the inspirations and techniques he employed in this new set of paintings.
