11/19 Radio Gallery: Bente Soderlind

The third annual Pepperkakerbyen or "Gingerbread City" opens at the Sons of Norway on Lake Ave, with a reception this Friday 11/21 from 4-8pm

With help from many volunteers, through workshops and group and individual contributions, Pepperkakerbyen is built out of Gingerbread creating a fantastic edible landscape. The longtime Norwegian tradition was inspired by the worlds largest Pepperkakerbyen in Bergen, Norway.
Pepperkakerbyen is open every weekend through December 14 Friday - Sunday from 4 - 6 p.m. After that the creations are sent home with their contributors to enjoy for the holidays. Check out the miniature landscape - its at 23 N Lake Ave in downtown Duluth, just 1/2 a block up from Superior Street.
