Tony Mancuso is the property manager for all of St. Louis County, and he is also a sculpture artist. He began by making furniture out of driftwood, and recently transitioned into using recycled materials. "The Wacky World of Tony Mancuso" will be opening at the Blue Lake Gallery on 4-20-2013 as part of the Duluth Gallery Hop. Radio Gallery talks with Mancuso about his journey into the world of sculpture.

Radio Gallery 4-17-2013: Tony Mancuso

Mancuso began working with Blue Lake by selling his first recycled piece there; a motorcycle made of old weed whackers. The proceeds from this sale went to the Art junction at UDAC, a non-profit that works to provide employment for people with disabilities. When the gallery decided they wanted to go with a recycled theme for the Duluth Gallery Hop, they turned to Mancuso. For this show, he created an entire family out of recycled materials and included their gadgets. Listen to Mancuso describe this world of models of things we use daily, made from things we've thrown away.
