Radio Gallery 03-13-12 Bock Fest

?This week Radio Gallery spotlights Craft beer brewing as Duluth celebrates Bockfest, a German celebration of spring. Events take place in the Fitger's courtyard starting Thursday with the "blessing of the bock" and continue through Saturday all accompanied by the special brew "Split Rock Bock" from Lake Superior Brewing.

Craft beer could be considered an art and as it blossoms here in Duluth, it is the focus of this week's Radio Gallery. We hear from head brewer at Lake Superior Brewing Company, Dale Kleinschmidt. In Duluth since 1994 and the oldest operating brewery in town, they started Bockfest back in the day and still brew the Bock beer for the occasion.
From the Blessing of the Bock, Thursday at 5 pm to Saturdays events, Bockfest all takes place in Fitger's Courtyard.
