Radio Gallery 10-06-2010: Whitney Saurer

This week Saurer, a student at UMD, speaks with Radio Gallery about her halloween themed art exhibit at Washington Gallery opening Friday Oct. 8th from 6-9 p.m. that will be on display through the month of October. Saurer uses ink and watercolor on watercolor paper to create her whimsical, illustrative artwork. This is Saurer's first big show on her own and will feature brand new work in antique frames, shrubbery, and a "creepy" yet fanciful halloween essence. Saurer shares with Radio Gallery her passion for painting and drawing by hand as well as her love for the month of October and halloween folk art. Her show is called "Corpses and Copses" and opens Friday Oct. 8th from 6-9 p.m at Washington Gallery located at 315 N. Lake Ave. Duluth, MN.
