Radio Gallery 12-23-09: Tim Byrns

Hosted by Maija Morton

Byrns uses recycled wood, or wood that has been harvested in sustainable ways. He works around the wood's inherent imperfections, because in Byrns' words "the wood itself has an inherent beauty that is further emphasized by the composition of the sculpted form." Byrns has been sculpting since he found his Grandpa's tool kit, and he has received awards all over northern Minnesota. Tune in to Radio Gallery as Byrns tells us more about his work, including his interesting and scientific method in name each work.
