Listen to our session from August 30, 2022 with these two Minnesota artists who will be performing at Honor the Earth's Water is Life Festival in Bayfront Festival Park on Sunday, September 4. Huckfelt, a member of the Pines, has been releasing solo albums since 2018, most recently Room Enough, Time Enough in early 2021. Humphrey is an Anishinaabe singer/songwriter, artist, and activist from the Leech Lake reservation whose most recent album, Eat What You Kill, came out in 2020. We talked with each of them about making those albums, getting through the pandemic shutdowns, and the upcoming festival, and they each performed a song.
