Big Picture Science is a weekly, one-hour public radio show that explores surprising connections across science and technology. Originally launched by the SETI Institute and now independently produced, the show is hosted by astronomer Seth Shostak and science journalist Molly Bentley.

Each episode is thematic, weaving together interviews with leading researchers and innovators to reveal how different scientific ideas intersect; from microbiomes to Mars, memory to motion. The show is known for its smart, humorous storytelling and its “Skeptic Check” episodes, which critically examine pseudoscience and extraordinary claims. It’s distributed nationally via the Public Radio Satellite System and available as a podcast.
