Soldier | Contented Critters

Solider is an 8 year old Lab mix. He was rescued off the euthanasia list. He is a nice guy, laid back, and a very nice size (42 lbs.) He just wants a family to spend the rest of his life with.

Zippy | Animal Allies

Zippy is a black and white Siberian husky mix who is 4 years old. He came to us as a stray and is now looking for his new loving home! The name Zippy fits him perfectly as he is a very energetic and playful dog who would do best in a home that can provide plenty of exercise, and is familiar with husky behavior. This talkative guy loves being the center of attention, so he is looking for a home with no other dogs or cats, as well as children 15 and older.

Americano | Animal Allies

Americano is a brown and white domestic short hair who is 6 months old. He came to us from a previous home and is now looking for his new loving home! Americano is a shy yet sweet guy who needs a patient and understanding family to teach him how to socialize with other people! He is a little unsure of strangers, but a good scratch under the chin will make you friends in no time!

Maynard | Animal Allies

Maynard is a long-haired white and gray cat who is a year and a half. He came to us as a stray from Duluth and is now looking for his new loving home! Maynard is an easygoing fellow with a content face and handsome soft fur. He can be shy, but if you give him a little love, he generally warms up pretty quick. Come see this big sweetie and you'll be sure to fall in love with his relaxing demeanor.

Lisa Johnson started her broadcast career anchoring the television news at her high school and spinning country music at KWWK/KOLM Radio in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a reporter and news anchor at KTHI in Fargo, ND (not to mention the host of a children's program called "Lisa's Lane") and a radio reporter and anchor in Moorhead, Bismarck, Wahpeton and Fergus Falls.Since 1991, she has hosted Northland Morning on KUMD. One of the best parts of her job includes "paying it forward" by mentoring upcoming journalists and broadcasters on the student news team that helps produce Northland Morning. She also loves introducing the different people she meets in her job to one another, helping to forge new "community connections" and partnerships.Lisa has amassed a book collection weighing over two tons, and she enjoys reading, photography, volunteering with Animal Allies Humane Society and fantasizing about farmland. She goes to bed at 8pm, long before her daughter, two cats, or three dogs.
