The Great Northern Radio Show

KUMD will be broadcasting The Great Northern Radio Show On Saturday November 12, live from the Lincoln Park Middle School auditorium and although you can hear it on your radio, there is nothing quite like seeing live radio theater.

The Great Northern Radio Show is a traveling variety show produced by Producer and host Aaron Brown and Northern Community Radio, our Ampers partner. With a regular cast of characters and special Duluth guests, producer and host Aaron Brown celebrates Duluth, local music and the people who make it special with comedy skits, local tunes, tales from the hills of Duluth.

“For an Iron Range kid, bringing the show to Duluth is like making it on Broadway,” said Brown. “You know, if Broadway was on a very tall, icy hill in a colder climate.”

Local musical guests include three duos, Woodblind, Dance Attic  and The Lowest Pair.

Special guests include Duluth Mayor Emily Larson, author and judge Mark Munger, and “Locally Laid” egg farmer and author Lucie Amundsen.

The program will air live on KUMD from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 as well as on other northland community stations, or you can attend the show in person – but you need to be in your seats early.

Tickets cost $10 for adults, free for children and college students with IDs. Audience must be in their seats by 4:30. Seating is limited.

Call Northern Community Radio to reserve tickets at 800/662-5799 or visit www.kaxe.org.
