The Ojibwe Art Expo

In the 2nd episode of “First Light: Carl Gawboy, Wendy Savage, and the Ojibwe Art Expo” you will learn about the impetus of Native American Art Movement in the northern part of the U.S. with the Ojibwe Art Expo. Carl Gawboy and Wendy Savage were two of many artists involved and will talk about the founders of the Expo, some of the early artists, as well as challenges and successes of Expo organizers. Most importantly, though, they will discuss the impact of the Expo on future Native artists.
