Wendy and Carl introduce themselves and share some memories and experiences from their early careers as artists. Carl Gawboy is Bois Forte Ojibwe and Finnish American. He has had 60+ years in the art world including watercolor artist, muralist, teacher, book author and illustrator. Wendy Savage is Fond du Lac Ojibwe. She has had 40+ years of working as a multidisciplinary artist in beadwork, textiles, acrylics, oils. She is also a teacher, including serving as the first art teacher at the Fond du Lac Ojibwe School, art gallery curator, and art researcher.
