3/14 Live from Studio A: Teague Alexy and Erik Berry

Teague Alexy and Erik Berry
Christine Dean for KUMD

Teague Alexy's Irish immigrant grandparents inspired his love of Irish music, while one of mandolinist Erik Berry's pre-Trampled by Turtles bands was called Father McClanahan and His Irish Snake Stompers. The two found themselves comparing notes about Irish music for years before joining forces to perform and record in the genre. They released an album, Irish American, in late 2017. They joined us in the studio on March 14 to give us a preview of a run of shows they have scheduled for St. Patrick's Day weekend, including the Dulutsen Festival at Papa Charlie's on Friday, March 16, and Saturday sets in downtown Duluth at Sound and Carmody Irish Pub.
