Local singer/songwriter Sara Thomsen will join us on September 29, 2016 along with baritone Elias Mokole and hip-hop musician Daniel Oyinloye to give us a taste of what to expect at an upcoming event to benefit Duluth's Sister Cities Program. Encounters of the Musical Kind happens Saturday, October 1 at the Mitchell Auditorium at St. Scholastica and will feature unexpected collaborations blending musical genres. Thomsen has traveled to Duluth's newest sister city, Rania, which is in the Kurdish area of Iraq, and performed with members of her Echoes of Peace Choir.
