Northern Voices: Solar energy from the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe

This story comes from reporter Leah Lemm at our Ampers partner station in Grand Rapids.

Today, I head out to Cass Lake to talk with Brandy Toft. She’s the Environmental Deputy Director for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. She works on several solar energy projects that the band has.

Later, I talk to Lisa Hemachandra about life with the solar furnace that she had installed through the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe’s solar furnace project.

You can hear Leah Lemm's story here.
