Hartley Stewardship Fest

Hartley Nature Center will be hosting Stewardship Fest, a celebration of the people and organizations that are helping to take care of Hartley Park’s natural resources and helping to make the park a better place for future generations. Learn about invasive species management from Community Action Duluth (CAD) or participate in a buckthorn pull with the Duluth Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA). Learn about native wildflower gardening from Wild Ones and get information on winter sowing. Take a tour of a stream restoration area with the South St. Louis County Soil and Water Conservation District. See real-time data from the University of Minnesota Duluth weather stations. Learn about the Feasibility Study from the City of Duluth, and learn what partner agencies have been involved in data collection for the study (MDNR, MPCA, UMD). These Hartley partners will have informational tables set up outside (weather dependent) and will offer special tours or activities throughout the event.
