The school year is underway and there's plenty to see at the Tweed Museum of Art on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus.
On display now is a collection of photography by D. R. Martin. "It's a collection that's about a hundred prints, contact sheets, tons and tons of negatives, digital files, photography books," says Annie Dugan. Martin photographed Duluth as well as Minneapolis and areas of the UK in the late 60s and early 70s. "This is a series of street photography... you can't help but be delighted by the scenes that you're seeing."
Another exhibit on display is Sky Water Land, an exhibit from the museum's permanent collection. "It's all about the horizon," says Dugan. "I need to do myself a favor and go see it, because I need to see that horizontal line and have that sense of peace."
